ICA Tomorrow-Ready Skills: The 5 Areas and 21 Skills Explained

ICA, the International Certification Alliance (formerly ICAgile), launched its Tomorrow-Ready catalogue in September 2026. It covers 21 workplace skills in 5 disciplines. This guide explains each skill in plain English and shows which Agile Visa courses build them today.

In short: ICA's Tomorrow-Ready catalogue has 21 skills in 5 disciplines, with 24 certifications and 128 credentials. A Tomorrow-Ready certification is 1 core credential plus at least 2 specialized credentials, and each credential also counts on its own. Agile Visa does not yet offer Tomorrow-Ready credentials. Our accredited ICAgile courses continue unchanged under ICA, and they build many of these skills today: the table below shows which.

What Tomorrow-Ready means

Tomorrow-Ready is ICA's name for the skills people need as work keeps changing. ICA explains the choice of words simply: nobody can predict every future, but readiness is a set of skills you can build on purpose. That is why it says "Tomorrow-Ready" rather than "future proof" (ICA FAQ).

ICA also explains why it widened its focus. Work is changing fast, so people need to adapt, collaborate, solve complex problems, lead through change and work alongside technology such as AI. Agility stays the foundation, and the new catalogue makes room for these other skills (Announcing ICA, ICA Help Center).

ICA calls the catalogue SkillPrint, a name it also uses for each learner's verified picture of their skills. Tomorrow-Ready and SkillPrint are trademarks of ICA.

New to the names? Our glossary explains ICA and ICAgile, and our article on why ICAgile became ICA tells the story of the name change.

How Tomorrow-Ready certifications work

A Tomorrow-Ready certification is built from smaller pieces called credentials. To earn one, you need 1 core credential for the skill plus at least 2 specialized credentials related to it. You can earn them in any order (About Tomorrow-Ready Certifications & Credentials, ICA Help Center).

ICA points out that this is new: unlike the agile certifications, the Tomorrow-Ready catalogue is made of credentials. Five things are worth knowing:

Sources: About Specialized Credentials, the SkillPrint catalogue and the ICA FAQ.

The catalogue in numbers

ICA's SkillPrint page lists 5 disciplines, 21 skills, 24 certifications and 128 credentials. That is 24 core credentials, one for each certification, and 104 specialized credentials.

There are more certifications than skills because three skills have two certifications each:

How to read the codes

All certifications, old and new, use the ICP prefix: Facilitation is ICP-FAC. Single credentials use IC: Facilitation Core is IC-FACT. Expert designations keep the ICE prefix.

The 5 disciplines and 21 skills

ICA groups the 21 skills into 5 disciplines, the 5 areas in our title. The one-line summaries below paraphrase ICA's own descriptions, and each skill shows its Tomorrow-Ready certification and code.

1. Agility & Readiness

Builds agile skills, technology literacy and foundational mindsets (ICA: Agility & Readiness).

2. Value Creation

Builds strategy, customer, product and delivery skills (ICA: Value Creation).

3. People Development

Builds coaching, mentoring, teaching, people management and emotional intelligence (ICA: People Development).

4. Complexity & Change

Builds analytical, decision, change, risk and organisational design skills (ICA: Complexity & Change).

5. Influence & Interpersonal Dynamics

Builds communication, collaboration, conflict, facilitation and responsible influence skills (ICA: Influence & Interpersonal Dynamics).

Two names that look alike

Two agile certifications share a name with parts of the new catalogue: Product Management (ICP-PDM) and People Development (ICP-PDV). Both continue in ICA's Agile catalogue, and Agile Visa teaches both. They are different from the Tomorrow-Ready Product Management certification (ICP-PRD) and from the People Development discipline above.

Which Agile Visa courses build each skill today

We compared what our courses teach with ICA's 21 skills, using the curriculum, outcomes and FAQs on each course page. Use the table to pick a course for the skill you want to build.

Please read this first. This is Agile Visa's own guide, based on what our courses teach. It is not ICA's official mapping, and it is not a promise that any course leads to an ICA Tomorrow-Ready credential. Each course leads to the certification, micro-credential or certificate named on its own page.

"Partly" means the skill is one part of the course, not its main topic. "Corporate course" marks a private course for company teams, with an Agile Visa certificate of completion.

ICA's official mapping for the AI micro-credentials

ICA publishes one official mapping from older ICAgile offerings to the new credentials, and it covers the micro-credentials. Each of the six AI micro-credentials matches a new specialized credential with the same name (About Micro-Credentials & Mapping, ICA Help Center). ICA lists all six new credentials under the AI & Technology Literacy skill.

Can you earn a Tomorrow-Ready credential at Agile Visa?

Not yet. Agile Visa is an ICA Member Organization (formerly an ICAgile Member Training Organization) that delivers accredited ICAgile certification courses. We are not one of ICA's 10 Launch Partners, and we do not yet offer Tomorrow-Ready credentials.

Our accredited ICAgile certification courses continue unchanged under ICA. ICA has confirmed that existing accredited courses stay accredited and can keep running as they do today. When you finish one, you earn the same agile certification as before, valid for life with no renewal fee (About the Transition to ICA, ICA Help Center). Already certified? Read is my ICAgile certificate still valid?

ICA announced its 10 Launch Partners on 7 October 2026 and says new Tomorrow-Ready classes are on the way. ICA's class finder already lets you filter by all 24 Tomorrow-Ready certifications. We will update this page if our position changes.

Tomorrow-Ready DNA is a different thing

You may also see the name Tomorrow-Ready DNA. It comes from the Business Agility Institute (BAI), which works alongside ICA and X2A as one team. Tomorrow-Ready DNA is a model of how an organisation works, with 5 core domains, 18 essential capabilities and 85 catalytic behaviours. ICA's Tomorrow-Ready skills are different: they describe what an individual person can do.

Frequently asked questions

What are ICA Tomorrow-Ready skills?

They are the 21 workplace skills in the Tomorrow-Ready catalogue from ICA, the International Certification Alliance (formerly ICAgile). ICA groups them into 5 disciplines: Agility & Readiness, Value Creation, People Development, Complexity & Change, and Influence & Interpersonal Dynamics. Each skill has one or two certifications, and each certification is built from credentials.

How many Tomorrow-Ready skills are there?

There are 21 skills, grouped into 5 disciplines. Together they have 24 certifications and 128 credentials. Three skills have two certifications each: Coaching and Mentoring, Critical Thinking, and Risk & Governance.

What is the difference between a credential and a certification at ICA?

A credential proves one specific skill area, and it counts on its own. A Tomorrow-Ready certification combines 1 core credential with at least 2 specialized credentials for the same skill. You can earn the credentials in any order, and one course can award several of them at once.

Can I earn a Tomorrow-Ready credential at Agile Visa?

Not yet. Agile Visa is not one of ICA's 10 Launch Partners and does not yet offer Tomorrow-Ready credentials. Our accredited ICAgile certification courses continue unchanged under ICA, and the table on this page shows which Tomorrow-Ready skills each course builds.

Which Agile Visa course builds coaching skills?

ICP-ACC Agile Coaching is the main one. It covers the coaching mindset, professional coaching skills, mentoring and team development. ICP-PDV People Development builds coaching and mentoring skills for managers, while ICP-SYS Systems Coaching and ICP-ENT Enterprise Agile Coaching take coaching to the level of systems and whole organisations.

Do ICAgile agile certifications count as Tomorrow-Ready credentials?

They are a different type of award. Agile certifications such as ICP-ACC continue under ICA as its Agile catalogue and stay valid for life, while ICA explains that the Tomorrow-Ready catalogue, unlike the agile certifications, is made of credentials. The only official mapping ICA publishes from older ICAgile offerings to the new credentials covers the micro-credentials, such as AI for Customer Insights.

Do Tomorrow-Ready credentials expire?

No. ICA states that its certifications and credentials, old and new, never expire, with no renewal fee and no continuing education requirement. That includes every ICAgile certification you already hold.

Is Tomorrow-Ready DNA the same as Tomorrow-Ready skills?

No. Tomorrow-Ready DNA comes from the Business Agility Institute and describes how an organisation works, in 5 core domains, 18 essential capabilities and 85 catalytic behaviours. ICA's Tomorrow-Ready skills describe what an individual person can do.
