Is My ICAgile Certificate Still Valid?

In short: Yes. ICAgile became ICA in September 2026, and your ICAgile certification is still valid. It never expires. There is no renewal fee, no continuing education and no retake, and your code, such as ICP-ACC, stays the same.

The short answer: yes, for life

ICA states that certifications earned under the ICAgile name remain valid and recognised, from Agile Fundamentals (ICP) to expert designations (ICE). Nothing expires and nothing needs renewing. Sources: the ICA FAQ and About the Transition to ICA in ICA's Help Center.

What stays the same

Your certificate stays valid exactly as issued.
Your code keeps the ICP prefix, so ICP-ACC is still ICP-ACC. Expert designations keep the ICE prefix.
Your learner record stays available with ICA.
Verification still works at icagile.com/verify-credentials.
Your certification is still in ICA's Agile catalogue. See the ones we teach in our ICAgile certifications catalogue.

What may look different

Badges. Credly badges now show "Issued by ICA". The badge names stay the same, such as "Agile Coaching".
Expert designations. These are now written "ICA Certified Expert (ICE)", for example ICA Certified Expert in Agile Coaching (ICE-AC). Source: ICA Help Center.
Older certificates. ICA has not said whether certificates issued before the change will be reissued under the ICA name. Your current certificate stays valid as it is.

How to list it on your CV and LinkedIn

Keep the code and add the new name. A simple CV format:

ICP-ACC, Agile Coaching certification, ICAgile (now ICA)

On LinkedIn, add it under Licenses and certifications. ICA's verification page still tells you to choose "ICAgile" as the issuing organisation. That LinkedIn company page is now named ICA. If you have a Credly badge, add its link too.

How an employer can check it

Employers can confirm an ICAgile certification on ICA's official page, icagile.com/verify-credentials. If you share a Credly badge, it also shows that ICA issued it.

Our own verify page does a different job. It checks Agile Visa certificates of completion by certificate ID. It does not check ICAgile certifications, so point employers to ICA's page for those.

Adding new skills later

ICA has also launched Tomorrow-Ready credentials. Each one is a verified skill on its own, and one core credential plus at least two specialized ones make a Tomorrow-Ready certification (ICA Help Center). You earn them through new accredited classes, which ICA says are on the way.

Agile Visa does not offer Tomorrow-Ready credentials yet. Our guide to ICA's Tomorrow-Ready skills explains what they cover.

Frequently asked questions

Is my ICAgile certification still valid now that ICAgile is ICA?

Yes. ICA confirms that existing ICAgile certifications remain valid and recognised. They never expire, and you do not need to update anything.

Do I need to renew or retake my ICAgile certification?

No. There is no renewal fee, no continuing education requirement and nothing to retake. Your certification stays valid for life.

Will my certification name or code, for example ICP-ACC, change?

Your code stays the same, so ICP-ACC is still ICP-ACC. Credly badges keep their names but now show ICA as the issuer. Expert designations are now written ICA Certified Expert (ICE).

How do I list my ICAgile certification on LinkedIn or my CV now?

Use a simple format such as: ICP-ACC, Agile Coaching certification, ICAgile (now ICA). On LinkedIn, ICA's verification page says to choose ICAgile as the issuing organisation. That company page is now named ICA.

How can an employer check my ICAgile certification?

Use ICA's official verification page at icagile.com/verify-credentials. The Agile Visa verify page checks only Agile Visa certificates of completion, not ICAgile certifications.

Can I add new ICA credentials to the ICAgile certifications I already hold?

Yes. You can earn ICA's new Tomorrow-Ready credentials through accredited classes, which ICA says are on the way, and your ICAgile certifications stay valid. Agile Visa does not offer them yet.

Does the change affect expert credentials such as ICE-AC?

Your expert designation stays valid and keeps its code. ICA now writes these as ICA Certified Expert (ICE), for example ICA Certified Expert in Agile Coaching (ICE-AC).

I trained with Agile Visa. Do I need to do anything?
