Is ICP-APM live online or in person? +
Public ICP-APM cohorts run live online with a trainer, in part-day sessions. For company teams we also run private cohorts, on-site at your premises or live online. Delivered in English. Trainers for Arabic, Spanish, Bahasa Malaysia, German or French can be arranged for company cohorts on request.
How long is the ICP-APM course? +
ICP-APM is 14 hours of live, trainer-led training. Upcoming cohorts run as 3 sessions x 4.5 hrs each.
Is there a discount on ICP-APM? +
Yes, when you book it with a second course. ICP-APM is part of 2 combos: ICP-APM + ICP-LPM and ICP-APM + ICP-PDM. Each combo costs 10% less than the two course fees added together. For 6 or more people from one company, we run a dedicated cohort with company pricing: ask us for a quote.
Can my company pay by invoice or purchase order? +
Yes. Company buyers: send the form; we quote, accept purchase orders, complete your supplier onboarding forms (including W-8BEN-E on request), and share tax, insurance and data protection documents directly with your procurement team. Read more: Company invoice or purchase order.
Can I cancel or move my seat? +
Yes. With 16 or more days notice before the first class day, you get a 90% refund; the 10% administrative fee is non-refundable. With 8 to 15 days notice, you get a 50% refund, or you can move once to a later cohort for a 10% administrative fee, which is non-refundable. With 7 days notice or less, there is no refund. What is included with an ICP-APM seat? +
Every seat includes the full live, ICAgile-accredited ICP-APM course, all course materials and your ICAgile ICP-APM certification, which is valid for life with no renewal fee. The extras that come with every cohort, such as alumni network access, are listed under What's included on this page.
Can I claim PMI PDUs for ICP-APM? +
Yes, as self-reported hours. PMI credential holders can report the live hours of ICP-APM as Education PDUs under Courses or Training, one PDU per hour, and keep the ICAgile certificate as evidence (PMI Continuing Certification Requirements Handbook, April 2026). Agile Visa is not a PMI Authorized Training Partner, so these hours are self-reported rather than pre-approved.
Are there prerequisites for ICP-APM? +
There are no formal entry requirements for ICP-APM. ICAgile recommends relevant hands-on experience for professional-level certifications, and the trainer meets each cohort where it is.
Is there an exam for the ICAgile ICP-APM certification? +
No. There is no exam. You earn the ICP-APM certification by completing the full live, ICAgile-accredited course and demonstrating ICAgile's learning outcomes in the sessions. Your trainer assesses this through the class exercises and a final practical assessment, and the certification is then issued to you. It is valid for life.
Does the ICP-APM credential expire or require PDUs? +
No. Your ICAgile Agile Project and Delivery Management certification is valid for life with zero renewal fees.
How does Agile Project Management differ from the PMP? +
Traditional project management (PMP) focuses heavily on upfront planning, rigid scope, and phased delivery. Agile Project Management (ICP-APM) focuses on adaptability, continuous feedback, flow metrics, and incremental value delivery.
What does an Agile Project Manager or Delivery Lead do? +
An Agile Delivery Lead focuses on removing systemic impediments, managing complex cross-team dependencies, tracking flow metrics, and ensuring predictable value delivery without resorting to command-and-control micromanagement.
Does the ICP-APM course cover agile metrics and reporting? +
Yes. A significant portion of the course is dedicated to moving away from output-based reporting (like Gantt charts) and adopting outcome-based flow metrics like lead time, cycle time, and cumulative flow diagrams.
Will this course teach me how to manage fixed-budget agile projects? +
Yes. You will learn specific agile governance and adaptive planning techniques to manage constraints like fixed budgets and rigid compliance requirements while still remaining flexible to change.
Do I need to be a Scrum Master to take the ICP-APM? +
No. While helpful, it is not required. The course is specifically tailored for management and delivery professionals who are overseeing the broader project lifecycle rather than facilitating a single team.
How does agile project management handle risk and governance? +
Instead of trying to predict all risks upfront, agile delivery manages risk through frequent, iterative releases, continuous customer feedback, and highly transparent, adaptive governance models.
