ICAgile and AI Training in Romania
Romania's business services centres employ over 280,000 people in more than 1,000 centres, according to Deloitte's 2025 study for ABSL, and many of them sit in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi and Timisoara. Yet only 5.2% of Romanian firms with 10 or more staff used AI in 2025, against 20% across the EU. For most teams the open question is how to add AI and better delivery habits to work they already run for clients abroad.

Why teams in Romania come to us
Service centres taking on more complex work
Romania hosts more than 1,000 business service centres, and Deloitte's study for ABSL counts over 280,000 people working in them, adding about 10% of the country's gross value added. When a finance, HR or IT operations centre wants to take on more complex work for its parent company, team leads need to plan, prioritise and improve flow, not only process requests. Facilitation and delivery skills are what make that step credible.
A wide gap on everyday AI use
Eurostat found that 5.2% of Romanian enterprises with 10 or more employees used AI in 2025, about a quarter of the EU share. The government approved a national AI strategy for 2024 to 2027 in July 2024, and the EU AI Act expects employers to make sure staff who use AI understand it. That makes practical AI literacy for whole teams, not just data specialists, a timely place to start.
An IT industry competing on productivity
Romania's IT sector had 195,929 employees in 2024 and the IT and communications sector produced 6.67% of GDP, according to the ANIS industry study. Much of that work is delivered to clients abroad, so firms compete on the value each team delivers. Sharper product and delivery management is one of the few levers fully under a company's control.

| Foundations of AI (ICP-FAI) | US$899 |
| Facilitation and coaching | |

These prices are for buyers billed in Romania. Checkout sets the currency from where you are when you book, so buyers elsewhere pay their own country's price.
Each seat price covers the live course, all courseware and the ICAgile credential, with no renewal fee afterwards. Two-course combos cost 10% less than buying the two seats separately. For groups of 6 or more, we run a dedicated cohort for your company, with volume pricing.
Funding and paying for training in Romania
EU funded calls under Romania's Education and Employment Programme (PEO 2021 to 2027) have paid for employee digital skills training, but they fund authorised Romanian training providers through approved projects, not employers buying a course directly. Check with the Ministry of Investments and European Projects whether an open call fits your plans; otherwise training is usually funded by the employer. Source.

Class times for Romania
Public ICAgile certification cohorts are listed in US Eastern and UK time on each course page. Most start at 8 AM US Eastern (1 PM UK time), which is 3 PM in Bucharest for most of the year, and 2 PM for a few weeks in March and around the start of November, while the clocks change on different dates. Cohorts that start at 12 PM US Eastern begin at 7 PM for most of the year, and 6 PM for a few weeks in March and around the start of November, while the clocks change on different dates.
The ICAgile AI micro-credentials, and a few certification cohorts, run on Singapore time from 1 PM, which is 8 AM in Bucharest from late March to late October and 7 AM from late October to late March.
Company cohorts run in Bucharest working hours on dates you choose, online or on site in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Timisoara or Brasov.
What ICP means, and where to start
ICP stands for ICAgile Certified Professional. The letters after it name the topic, for example ICP-ACC for Agile Coaching. Agile Visa has been an ICAgile Member Organisation since December 2017. Most teams start with ICP, Agile Fundamentals (US$699), or with ICP-FAI, Foundations of AI (US$899).
Where to start, by role
- Scrum Masters and team leads: ICP-ATF (US$679), then ICP-ACC (US$849).
- Agile coaches: ICP-ACC, then ICP-ENT (US$899) or ICP-SYS (US$999).
- Project and delivery managers: ICP-APM (US$899), then ICP-LPM (US$1,499) for portfolio work.
- Product owners and product managers: ICP-APO (US$899) and ICP-PDM (US$899), plus the ICAgile AI micro-credentials (US$399 each).
- Managers and leaders: ICP-LEA (US$999) and ICP-PDV (US$999).
Neighbours: Moldova and Bulgaria
Teams in Moldova and Bulgaria join the same live online cohorts as Romania, and all three countries keep Eastern European Time, so a cohort that starts at 8 AM US Eastern begins at the same hour in Chisinau, Sofia and Bucharest. Romanian is the state language of Moldova, which makes it easy to mix teams from Chisinau and Iasi in one company cohort.
How a first engagement usually runs in Romania
Most Romanian service centres answer to a parent company abroad, so a sensible start is a short leadership session for the site leaders, followed by one lead cohort from a team that already serves several countries. Once that team has working practices, a train-the-trainer track lets the centre extend them to other teams in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca or Iasi without buying external training for every group.
Common starting points here: Foundations of AI (ICP-FAI), Agile Project and Delivery Management (ICP-APM), Leading with Agility (ICP-LEA).
