Government AI rollout with Microsoft and CAIT
In March 2025 the Central Agency for Information Technology and CITRA signed a partnership with Microsoft that includes plans for a local Azure region and Microsoft 365 Copilot for government employees. The Kuwait Skills programme that followed in November 2025 sets targets for AI and cloud training across the public workforce. Licences and tool training are the easy part; deciding which work AI should change, and how teams check its output, is where most departments need help.
Kuwaitisation of public sector roles
The Civil Service Commission said expatriate contracts in the public sector would not be renewed after 31 March 2025, except where qualified Kuwaitis are not available. As that work moves to Kuwaiti staff, ministries need people who can plan, facilitate and deliver it without relying on outside contractors. Facilitation and delivery management skills help the knowledge stay inside the team.
Digital banking under Central Bank of Kuwait rules
The Central Bank of Kuwait set up its digital banking framework in 2022, allowing digital units inside existing banks, banking as a service, and standalone digital banks. In December 2025 it issued a new Cyber and Operational Resilience Framework for banks and financial institutions. Banks building digital products under these rules need product owners and cross functional teams who can move quickly while keeping risk and compliance in the room.

ICAgile certification cost in Kuwait

Public ICAgile certification cohorts are listed in US Eastern and UK time on each course page. Most start at 8 AM US Eastern (1 PM UK time), which is 3 PM in Kuwait City from mid-March to early November and 4 PM from early November to mid-March. Cohorts that start at 12 PM US Eastern begin at 7 PM from mid-March to early November and 8 PM from early November to mid-March.
The ICAgile AI micro-credentials, and a few certification cohorts, run on Singapore time from 1 PM, which is 8 AM in Kuwait City all year.

ICP stands for ICAgile Certified Professional. The letters after it name the topic, for example ICP-ACC for Agile Coaching. Agile Visa has been an ICAgile Member Organisation since December 2017. Most teams start with ICP, Agile Fundamentals (AED 2,599), or with ICP-FAI, Foundations of AI (AED 3,799).

How a first engagement usually runs in Kuwait
In a ministry or state company, a sensible start is a short leadership session for directors, followed by one ICP-FAI cohort for the staff already using Copilot, so AI use is tied to real work rather than licences. The Kuwaiti staff taking over work from expatriate contractors are then good candidates for ICP-ATF, so they can facilitate their own teams once the contractors have gone.
