What is the ICAgile ICP certification? +
The ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP) is the foundation-level certification from ICAgile, awarded on completing an accredited course covering agile mindset, values, and core practices. Agile Visa, an ICAgile member training organisation founded in 2017 and led by Authorised Instructor Prashant Shinde, delivers it. The ICP is lifetime, with no exam or renewal.
How does ICP help me and my team? +
You learn the values and principles behind every agile framework, how agile works beyond software, and how to tell doing agile from being agile, through hands-on activities rather than slides. When a whole team takes ICP together, everyone gets the same language and the same understanding of why agile practices exist, which makes it easier to agree on how to work. Companies can book a private cohort for their own team.
Which job roles does ICP prepare me for? +
ICP is the starting point for anyone joining or working with agile teams: new Scrum Masters and team members, team leads, managers who need agile literacy, and people in HR, marketing, operations and other non-IT teams that are adopting agile ways of working. Is ICP live online or in person? +
Public ICP cohorts run live online with a trainer, in part-day sessions. For company teams we also run private cohorts, on-site at your premises or live online. Delivered in English. Trainers for Arabic, Spanish, Bahasa Malaysia, German or French can be arranged for company cohorts on request.
How long is the ICP course? +
ICP is 14 hours of live, trainer-led training. Upcoming cohorts run as 3 sessions x 4.5 hrs each.
Is there a discount on ICP? +
ICP is not sold as part of a combo. For 6 or more people from one company, we run a dedicated cohort with company pricing: ask us for a quote.
Can my company pay by invoice or purchase order? +
Yes. Company buyers: send the form; we quote, accept purchase orders, complete your supplier onboarding forms (including W-8BEN-E on request), and share tax, insurance and data protection documents directly with your procurement team. Read more: Company invoice or purchase order.
Can I cancel or move my seat? +
Yes. With 16 or more days notice before the first class day, you get a 90% refund; the 10% administrative fee is non-refundable. With 8 to 15 days notice, you get a 50% refund, or you can move once to a later cohort for a 10% administrative fee, which is non-refundable. With 7 days notice or less, there is no refund. Are there any prerequisites for the ICP Agile Fundamentals course? +
No. This is an entry-level course designed for anyone looking to start their journey in agile delivery, regardless of their prior experience.
Is there an exam to earn the ICAgile ICP certification? +
No. There is no exam. You earn the ICP certification by completing the full live, ICAgile-accredited course and demonstrating ICAgile's learning outcomes in the sessions. Your trainer assesses this through the class exercises and a final practical assessment, and the certification is then issued to you. It is valid for life.
Does the ICAgile Agile Fundamentals certification expire? +
No. The ICP certification is a lifetime credential. You never have to pay renewal fees or submit continuing education credits.
Do I need to be a software developer to take the ICP course? +
No. The ICP is designed for professionals across all business units, including marketing, HR, operations, and IT, who want to understand and apply the agile mindset to their daily work.
Which agile framework does the ICP course teach? +
This course focuses on the universal agile mindset rather than a single framework. You will learn foundational concepts that apply equally to Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and other scaling methodologies.
How does the ICP certification compare to the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)? +
The CSM teaches the mechanics of one specific framework (Scrum). The ICAgile ICP teaches the broader agile mindset, giving you a wider understanding of lean principles, extreme programming, and iterative flow.
What is the difference between doing agile and being agile? +
'Doing agile' means blindly following ceremonies like stand-ups without understanding why. 'Being agile', the focus of this course, means adopting a mindset of continuous improvement, customer focus, and systemic adaptability.
