Credential comparison
ICP-APM vs PMI-ACP
PMI-ACP is an exam credential from the Project Management Institute that tests broad agile knowledge. ICP-APM is a competency credential from ICAgile earned through live, assessed practice in agile project and delivery management. The difference that matters is what each asks of you: PMI-ACP asks you to pass a test, ICP-APM asks you to demonstrate the work.

Our take
If your employer specifically asks for a PMI credential, PMI-ACP is the one to get. If what you need is the working skill of agile delivery plus a recognised credential without an exam treadmill or renewal cycle, ICP-APM gets you there in two days and stays valid for life.
Is ICP-APM easier than PMI-ACP?
It is different rather than easier. There is no exam to fail, but the credential is earned through assessed participation in live exercises, so you demonstrate the skill rather than recall facts.
Does ICP-APM carry PDUs for PMI members?
Live accredited training generally qualifies for PMI professional development units; PMI members log the training hours under their own PDU claim.
Which one do employers recognise?
Both are internationally recognised. PMI has longer brand history in traditional project management; ICAgile is the recognised body for agile competency education and its credentials never expire.
