The four typical stages

Three certifications map cleanly to the coaching path. They are not a rigid sequence, but together they build a coherent skill set. You can take them in the order that matches your current work.

A useful detail for planning: ICP-ACC has no formal prerequisites. You do not need ICP-ATF first. Many practitioners start with ICP-ACC because the coaching stance reshapes everything else they do, then add facilitation depth with ICP-ATF and enterprise reach with ICP-ENT later. Two adjacent credentials round out the picture for some coaches. ICP-FAI goes deeper into agile facilitation in larger contexts, and ICP-APO suits coaches who work closely with product leadership.
