What this course covers
Five days, one DMAIC phase a day, built around a project each participant brings from their own work. Participants leave with a project charter, a trusted baseline, a root cause proven with data, a tested solution and a control plan. After the course they can sit an independent, closed book Green Belt certification exam.
What is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt?
A Lean Six Sigma Green Belt leads improvement projects part time, alongside their normal job. They use the five DMAIC steps and real data to find the cause of a problem, test a fix and make the gain last. Most Green Belts lead one or two projects a year and support the Yellow Belts in their team.
Who it is for
- Engineers, supervisors and process owners who will lead improvement projects
- Quality, operations and continuous improvement teams
- Analysts and managers in banks, hospitals and shared service centres
- Yellow Belts ready to lead their own projects
What you need before the course
- A project idea. A real problem from your own work, with a manager willing to sponsor it. We help you shape it into a project charter on day 1.
- A laptop with Excel. Every tool in the course runs in Excel. If your company uses Minitab, we use it too.
- No earlier belt. You do not need a Yellow Belt first. Day 1 covers the basics.
- Some data, if you have it. Any numbers you already collect about the process, such as times, counts or errors. If there are none, we plan how to collect them.
What you will cover
Day 1, Define
Choosing a project worth doing, the project charter, voice of the customer, SIPOC and the eight wastes.
Day 2, Measure
Process maps, data collection, measurement system analysis and process capability.
Day 3, Analyse
Patterns of variation, and hypothesis tests that prove which causes really matter.
Day 4, Improve
Regression, designing and testing solutions, mistake proofing and safe pilots.
Day 5, Control
Statistical process control, control plans, handing the process back to its owner, and a timed practice exam.
Is Green Belt certification included?
Certification is your choice. Everyone who completes the 5 days receives an Agile Visa Certificate of Completion.
If you need a belt certificate, participants can sit an independent, closed book Green Belt certification exam, taken online with remote supervision. The exam body marks it and issues the certificate, not Agile Visa. We arrange the exam for you and quote it as a separate line. Day 5 ends with a timed practice exam, so participants know what to expect.
Agile Visa is a training provider. We are not accredited by, or a partner of, any exam body, and each exam body issues its own certificate.
What a Green Belt project looks like
Starter examples for Malaysian workplaces. Each participant agrees their own project with us before the course.

| Medical devices | Close non conformances faster | Days to close and repeat findings |
| Hospitals | Shorten the wait from registration to consultation | Minutes waited |
| Banks and shared services | Cut errors in account opening or invoice processing | Error rate and turnaround time |
| Logistics and warehousing | Improve on time delivery from the warehouse | On time in full and picking errors |
Green Belt or Black Belt?
| Green Belt | Black Belt | |
|---|---|---|
| Length | 5 days, 35 hours | 10 days, 70 hours, in two blocks |
| Your role afterwards | Lead projects part time | Lead complex, cross site projects and coach Green Belts |

Frequently asked
How much does Lean Six Sigma Green Belt cost in Malaysia?
This programme runs as a private, in-house cohort for your team, priced per engagement rather than per seat. Tell us the group size and format and we will send a quotation.
Is this course HRD Corp claimable?
Yes. Agile Visa Sdn Bhd is an HRD Corp Registered Training Provider, so this programme is HRD Corp claimable for eligible Malaysian employers, subject to your levy balance and HRD Corp approval of the grant application.
Who is this course for?
Engineers, supervisors and process owners who will lead improvement projects. Quality, operations and continuous improvement teams. Analysts and managers in banks, hospitals and shared service centres. Yellow Belts ready to lead their own projects.
How long is Lean Six Sigma Green Belt?
5 days / 35 hours, delivered live and instructor-led, on site at your premises or online.
Who delivers the training?
Prashant Shinde, founder of Agile Visa and an HRD Corp Accredited Trainer, with 20+ years of delivery and 75,000+ professionals trained across 140+ countries. He earned the 6sigmastudy Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Six Sigma Green Belt in 2016.
How long does it take to become a Green Belt?
The course is 5 days. If you choose the exam, you can sit it soon after the course. A first project usually shows results in about 90 days, and we plan the check points with your sponsor.
Do I need a Yellow Belt first?
No. Day 1 covers the basics, and the exam bodies we prepare people for set no belt prerequisite for Green Belt.
Is Lean Six Sigma certification recognised in Malaysia?
There is no single official body for Lean Six Sigma, in Malaysia or anywhere else. Employers look at who issued the certificate, whether the exam was independent and supervised, and whether the person completed a real project. Our courses give you a real project and an Agile Visa certificate of completion, and an independent exam when you want one.
Can Green Belt training run online?
Yes, live online with the trainer, in the same 5 day format. Projects and the daily tollgate reviews work well online.
How many people can join one class?
Up to 25, so the trainer can review every project at each tollgate. Larger groups run as several classes.
